This is a useful little knife with a specially designed reverse-curved shape that cuts and slices toward or away from you. The Granny Paring is especially well suited to small, spherical foods or for detailed work that needs a bit of finesse.
- We meticulously hand sharpen surgical-grade T420 high-carbon stainless steel to a razor-sharp edge.
- Knives are hollow ground to achieve and maintain a sharp edge that lasts. When sharpening is needed, it’s an easy and inexpensive at-home process using our Quick Edge Knife Sharpener.

DESCRIPTION
Small and mighty. This compact paring knife is terrific when used on small foods you hold in your hand while peeling or cutting, like strawberries and apricots, and works equally well whether cutting in a forward or backward motion.
RECOMMENDED USES
Nice and sharp. Sturdy and well made. Small and comfortable to hold. This might not be descriptive of YOUR granny, but it perfectly describes ours. Our Granny Paring slices strawberries for fruit pizza, peels apples for pies, and creates garnishes whether you want fancy radish roses or a simple strip of citrus for your drink. That’s our Granny. She’s pretty cool like that.
BLADE
To assure our customers get the best-slicing knives available, all Rada blades are crafted from surgical-quality, T420 high-carbon stainless steel then hollow ground to create a concave cutting edge, making our knives incredibly sharp with lifetime durability. Designed with frequent use in mind, non-serrated, hollow-ground blades can be easily re-sharpened to achieve a like-new blade again and again. HANDLE
This knife has two handle options. The silver handle is made from permanently cast brushed aluminum and has a satin finish. The black handle is constructed from stainless steel resin. Both are incredibly durable and fit beautifully into any kitchen décor.

You can do it yourself in a matter of seconds with the modest but oh-so incredibly effective Quick Edge Knife Sharpener.

Rada recommends hand washing all fine cutlery. Hand washing prevents microscopic dings on a knife blade’s cutting edge, eliminates the harsh environment created by a dishwasher’s high temperatures and abrasive detergents that will negatively affect its handle, and ultimately extends the life of the knife.
While Rada’s black handle knives and utensils are more dishwasher tolerant than the silver handles, hand washing is still recommended.
