The Rada Serrated Slicer is the best slicer you can buy for cutting larger vegetables and fruits.
The Serrated Slicer features a serrated, 7-inch blade with a wide, sharp, double-sided edge designed to effortlessly cut through large, tough foods. You won’t find a better knife for cutting heads of lettuce or cabbage, nor does anything handle the tough outer skin of a cantaloupe or a honeydew melon better than this. It can even make short work of meats that require slicing, such as a succulent ham.
Our customers agree that this slicer knife is one of their very favorites.
“I have been looking for quite a while for a new slicer,” said one customer. “I am not wealthy enough to stock the high-priced brand knives, but needed an all around slicer that was reasonably priced, serrated, sharp with a secure blade to handle attachment and a 7" to 9 " blade. This knife was the only one I found that appeared to have all of the attributes I needed and it didn't disappoint. From slicing tomatoes to pineapple to bread it works fine. I was curious about the aluminum handle as some reviewers thought it not ideal. I have had no problems with slippage, weight, or spotting at all. I am looking forward to buying more Rada cutlery in the future.”
I have used several Rada knives over the years. I had a boning knife and usually used it for roasts or hams. But I often felt it might slip. This one has a serrated edge and is very reliable and very safe. I highly recommend it,” said another satisfied customer in a 5-star Amazon review.

(Hand Wash VS Dishwasher)
Hand washing all fine cutlery is the preferred method of cleaning because:
- Hand washing prevents unnecessary microscopic dings on the blades' cutting edge.
- Recent government mandated changes to phosphate-free dish washing detergents creates a harsh environment for metals - including stainless steel blades and in particular our silver brushed aluminum handles.
- Dishwashers have evolved to higher temperatures for cleansing and drying that are incompatible with fine cutlery.
Some customers choose to use the dishwasher with varying results depending on their detergent, water mineral composition and dishwasher. The combination of these factors affect the pace and degree of oxidation experienced.
